These Sonoran Turquoise Cluster Earrings by Gary Glandon are handmade at Stagecoach and feature a detailed cluster design built from many individually set stones.
Each earring is centered around a round turquoise stone, surrounded by teardrop-shaped stones arranged in a floral pattern. A smaller trio of stones sits at the top, while three dangling drops add movement at the bottom. The layout is balanced and highlights the natural variation in each stone.
The turquoise used is Sonoran Gold Turquoise, sourced from northern Mexico. This material is known for its range of green tones, often with areas of blue and natural matrix. In these earrings, most stones are deep green, with a few showing blue hues that provide contrast.
Creating earrings like these takes a great deal of time and precision. Each stone's setting has to be individually made, a time-consuming process for a set like this. Working with smaller stones adds to the difficulty, as they are more challenging to handle and place accurately. Even just designing the layout of these turquoise earrings takes time.
These earrings are made entirely from sterling silver, including the posts. They measure approximately 2 3/8 inches long and 1 1/8 inches wide, making them very noticeable. These are the perfect earrings to show off your love of turquoise jewelry.
This is a handmade earring set that reflects the time and effort involved in traditional jewelry making.
